The relationships are building. I also like the moment where Nathalie starts trusting the group more. It was kind of on the nose, but I appreciated the metaphor.

I really like how the characters are developing. At first, I thought the tension between Anna and Nathalie felt forced, but now I enjoy how their dynamic is evolving as they spend more time together. It is clear Anna intimidates Nathalie, but Nathalie is slowly gaining confidence as she creates their costumes.

An engaging beginning. The setting and early tension between characters really pull you in.

“Now and then, an animal smell, exactly like the one backstage, wafts into the room through the fan. Anna looks up, says the same
thing happens in zoos. The cages still smell even after the animals have died, a testament to their lives spent in captivity.”
