Am I finishing an entire series in one go?

I DNF’d this book. I think it’s a product of its time where there is a villain (abusive ex husband) who is back but the victim (wife) doesn’t know. It started quite early hinting at this… at 19% I felt like I couldn’t read an entire book where she was being stalked by her abuser.
