Status Updates From Special Needs 2

The end is near. It's been a bumpy ride.

I had to take a break from this, it was weighing heavy on my mind. So many issues, so little time. I'm going to try to finish it this weekend. It's too good to let go.

Plodding along. Waiting for the next prosthetic foot to drop. Ryan and Liam. So often they're brilliance shines through. When they come together, even in the back seat of a smelly vehicle, it's super hot and sweet. Then, one or the other has to open their mouth and all of a sudden it's dingleberry time. WTF. Like high school all over again.

I love Ryan and Liam, I really do. Ryan is a hot mess. I am a little disturbed that his behaviors go unnoticed and untreated. It's just, if you knew someone that you thought would roll off the edge of a pier some day, it would be Ryan. How can you have a relationship with anyone when you are an alphabet soup of mental conditions? It's weighing me down.

Ryan at a petting zoo. Here's a little interaction with a 'pudgy blond boy' while looking at some goats.

'Why is your hair blue?'
'Why do you have a nose like a piglet?'
'At least I can walk!'
'Oh yeah?' He leaned to the side in his wheelchair and pushed the boy to the concrete ground.
'You can't do that, man!'
Ryan crossed his arms on his chest. 'He started it.'

Ryan reminds me of Willy Wonka. LOL

Lying by omission. It will come back to bite you in the ass. As slow a start as Book One was, Book Two jumps right in with the feels. There is an ugly side-story looming ahead. And, another cutie caretaker is hired. You couldn't get someone who looked like Nurse Ratchet? No, we have to get Lenny Kravitz with dreads. Smart move Ryan!

Man Ryan did bad in lying about his mobility, but Liam didn't have to treat him like shit over it. Man I'm so disappointed in Liam!

ehm... Ryan hates animals, and he pushes over a little kid because the kid insults him! Doesn't exactly make me root for his happy ending. He's also quite the manipulative, theatrical shit. I know this is my inner psychologist speaking, but the man is seriously disturbed and still Liam feels like "the Voldemort of ex-boyfriends?"
