Status Updates From 海辺のカフカ〈上〉

It’s getting interesting… just learned that 大島さん is biologically female. The graphic scene with the cats were truly shocking, I read it the Saturday before the most recent Saturday (2026/8/24)

I still don’t know what’s going on. It’s the second time I’m starting to read this book. Last time I went until page 19 and stopped since nothing was making sense. This time around I feel more used to reading Japanese letters on a page. So I think it will be smoother. Nice to feel that kind of progress becasue it’s hard to recognize usually.
