I like it so far but I'm also getting a weird feeling from this. He loves Amsterdam so much that he'll gloss over Dutch colonization of the East Indies.... I look in the index, no mention of the Caribbean or Suriname!! Something's fishy -- smells like erasure of Dutch's colonial past, which is seeped in the slave trade.
