He talks about the fascination of the blueprints of the body’s nerves and their different functions, he explains the idea of psychological pain, he talks about schizophrenia and its inadequate and insufficient studies, etc. There are so many thrilling stories and honestly shocking discoveries. Every sentence has new information and things to discover, and I can’t wait to finish it.

Omg, I 10000% recommend this book. It is so entirely fascinating, I’ve been listening to it non stop for hours. I love the way the author talks about the arrogance of being a neurosurgeon, how being one is far from the most intelligent occupation to have, and the stories he’s heard. He helped treat one of the first patients to ever have AIDS, and heard so many thought-provoking one liners from his colleagues.
