Status Updates From The Halfmen of O

I loved it. Do I want to try find the sequels though. It can easily end here. I know I’ve not read the second and third ones and I worry if they’re not as good then it’ll feel like spoiling the brilliance of the first one. Decisions decisions.

Still no memory of this book. Which is actually great because it’s like reading it for the first time. I am really enjoying it. Apparently I’m not too old for a good adventure fantasy story.

Enjoying this a lot. Though I really don’t recall any of it.

Ah, nostalgia. The story is no longer familiar to me, not yet anyway, it’s probably been 35 years since I read it last, but the language - togs, and the visuals I get - running through blackberry bushes. Reminds me of home.

I’m so excited to revisit this book. I adored it as a child and I can’t remember how many times I must have read it. Hopefully it stands the passage of time and I don’t spoil the memory of its brilliance for myself.
