But the narrative progression from being enamored by a job, filled with hopes and dreams, to the constant “I didn’t have a choice” is far too reminiscent of The Devil Wears Prada. Coincidentally (or not), Carrie Sun also references DWP very early on in the book. Make of it what you will.
