Status Updates From Dead Tired 1 (Dead Tired #1)

So far I’m getting “Dr Stone and Overlord had a baby and taught that baby to read using Terry Pratchett books”. Very fun, but I’m curious to see how deep we go.

This is just okay enough that I'm going to finishing reading it, but unless it picks up in the back half I doubt I'm going to finish the series.

The author's lucky that he made it work, because this Star Wars bit he just did could very easily be "obnoxious referential nerd" stuff. I've been on board so far but this gave me pause, leaning too much into an open attempt at making us laugh with him.

As it is, I gave it a "heh". It probably won't go over as well the next time.
