im craving a retelling and ive always loved swan lake so....also love a good enemies to lovers altho odette x rothbart is strange to me as someone who grew up watching the barbie of swan lake movie LOL im picturing odette w that old man w the ugly ass large nose but hopefully that changes & doesn't get in the way of my enjoyment of this book!

This is balancing the amount of fairytale elements well for me. You can sense the original work, but it’s still distinct enough to feel like a separate story.

I picked this book up since I could not believe there were no enemies to lovers retelling of Swan Lake. Stop writing the fifth thousand Cinderella/Beauty and the Best retelling and get creative with your sources people! Swan Lake is PERFECT for an enemies to lovers plotline, and with how poorly written this book is, I’m starting to believe I should pick up that task myself…
