The first half felt long. I thought I was at least 60% into the book already.

She's so dumb. She doesn't know her family at all. Her mother is the exact same person that treated Julia like garbage and she's know surprised her mother would do the same to her? And she thinks Julia would be upset and turn on her even though Julia has repeatedly said she doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to and can live with her? Their actions have always been the exact opposite of her interpretation.
