Status Updates From Only the Brave

A glossed over and simplistic historical account. The plot was similar to another I’ve read. This really doesn’t read as though it’s an author who has been around for decades, it feels like a badly edited and padded out debut novel. Bit disappointing.

So repetitive. Maybe she should follow her heart but she always wanted to be a nun and she is going to stand by that but maybe she should believe god had another plan for her but she always wanted to be a nun so she is going to stick by that and take her final vows but she loves the soldier but she should honour god and take her final vows bla bla bla. Ugh.

This is not a very well written book, grammatically speaking. Paragraphs of repeated sentences, worded differently but the same information. This doesn’t feel like Danielle Steel I’ve read before. It is obvious that it has been researched, I’m learning things about the war in Europe prior to England joining that didn’t know before.
