Okay, this is super interesting and straightforward. Favorite chapter so far is the Tripartite Mind!!! loved it.

"As participants in human society, we all take on social roles in one form or another." page 78

Window - The book exposes me to other peoples life's such as society by using the term "social roles" as a way to explain why people identify as what they are such as profession or something else & expectations of that role.

"Protesters supporting the women suffrage movement were consistent in their message"

Window - The book exposed me to how protestors used their will to support the women suffrage movement, using psychology to stay "consistent" in their message. This is important because it shows the main idea, showing how psychology is used in our everyday lives.

"It has been used to explain why we might feel the urge to avoid certain foods if they have made us feel ill in the past, why we might feel the urge to eat when adverts come on television." I think this means that psychology gives and provides us with knowledge about our bodies. It isn't just about mental, but it also has a lot to do with us physically as well.

Huh. Weird how arousal plays a part in whether your an extrovert or introvert. And how THAT plays a part in whether your a criminal or not.

This quote explains to me what ego defense mechanisms are and how they have a connection with psychology & The Tripartite Mind.

I'm kinda bouncing back and forth between topics that I want to learn about in this book but this is very interesting...
The reason why some people are introverted and some are extroverted was unexpected but made sense 👀🐵
