I didn’t expect Scarlett to be deaths maiden! And alluding to the third sister being dead! Sorin is the first mmc that I’ve enjoyed in a long time. The book gets tripped up sometimes trying to sound edgy, but overall the mood and writing is great. And she’s fully fae. Id guess her mom is the queen of the west. I feel like we haven’t started our “journey” yet, so I’m chomping at the bit for that.

Kinda predictable

Okayyy things are getting heated. She’s unknowingly reading a book in a different language. Her mother’s ring is a fae artifact. Ryker is a fae known as Sorin, and tied to the same court she blames for her mother’s death. I think a spell what put on her by the silver fae in her most recent dream. I’m wagering my guesses were pretty spot on :p

So I’m going to make a few guesses. She is death incarnate and in some way magical. He is fae. Her mother’s ring is of fae origin and hides her power, same for the tonic she drinks every night. Either Cassius or Mikale are involved in her mother’s death. Ryker probably knew her mother in some semi close way. I’m enjoying it so far :) I love a strong lady that isn’t annoying

Overall I’m really enjoying this. Good pacing, fun characters, clearly given motives. It’s refreshing. A little pet peeve, His breath was hot against her ear as he whispered in that imperceptible whisper”. Sentences reusing the same word multiple times feel clunky, and there are a small handful. But overall I have no complaint about the story itself. I’m very excited
