Status Updates From Silk: A World History

Already this is such a comprehensive history and great educational tool. I appreciate it follows Maria Sybilla Merian’s life works and contributions to entomology. It lends to a wonderful depiction of how women have made significant scientific discoveries, even without the resources men had. Both of Merian’s daughters became botanical & zoological artists as well, a family full of curious and intelligent women!
