I’m just really taken aback by the initial sympathy I had for her and how that’s been eroded away.

The MC is really interesting in how conflicting she presents herself. On the one hand at first, she seemed normal, maybe nice. But over time you come to realize how selfish she is. The bad things she did as a teen, you almost wonder if she really understood what she did. As an adult it seems she does. Then she says or thinks something to the contrary and you think she knew all along. Maybe she’s always been bad.

What Buzz said is definitely happening and all I feel is dread.

In a strange way, this book reminds me of Silent Hill 2, in that it seems to be some what a psychological horror focusing on the past sins of the main character and the area they are in is picking up on it and using it. Sorta. I would say this MC is way worse than James Sunderland. Someone mentioned that the ending seems straight out of Bloodborne too. I’m starting to see it.
