You can't fault Fukuyama for lacking the benefit of hindsight, but his claim that information technology shouldn't be regulated for its innate anti-totalitarianism is hilarious even from the perspective of 2012-13, hardly a decade after the book was published. A lot of the attributes he ascribes to biology could also be proper to metaphysics (eg. the perception of primary colours).
