Quite a read so far. Have to wonder about the author's politics, though. But, he writes well enough that could be a red herring, too. I can see why the film version would be difficult to get right.

Also I'm fairly certain that the term used in the first chapter's time should be naturalist and not scientist
Pretty spectacular so far, the first chapter is interesting and I had to rewind to make sure that I didn't miss anything, second chapter is my favourite so far, what a scoundrel. The third is interesting as well, the changes in time are jarring but unique.
