And suddenly I hate this book and the author and will not be continuing but I am in fact going to mark this as a finished book because I had to read previous awkward moments but you know this one takes the cake and that’s about all I have to say about that

That’s hilarious

God damn it I hate my life I knew some form of this scene would be brought up and it’s worse than I imagined

See this is where the like world difference comes in and I have to search up what Oxford looks like

This whole scene is going to be awkward for so many different reasons
1) the age difference especially in front of his friends
2) the financial difference between a doctor and a cook at a diner
3) the difference in conversation especially with older lawyers and doctors
4) and lack of knowledge with toby showing up in old spice

“‘It’ll be boring, Toby,’ or—” he glared “— ‘I’m ashamed of you, Toby’?”

That part

I love this whole scene where Laurie is like looking up at toby it’s like just so domestic

“That’s not love.”
“Well, what is?”
“What I had with Robert.”

Ohhhhhhhhh that’s not good poor toby Jesus

“He’ s my prince. Fierce and fragile and tender and cruel.”

“Is it . . . Is he—” Sam paused, confused again, and tugged at his braids. “God, I sound like a perv even saying this . . . but, it works? I mean, it’s good? You can submit to a kid?”

That’s hilarious

Oh so he’s very much a bottom well not anymore I guess

Oh so this man really has no experience being a dom or a top

The amount of times Laurie has said this and I still don’t quite know the tone I’m sure it changes everytime

Theres no way this man’s whole entire ball is gonna fit in his mouth call me stupid but I don’t think that would go well

I feel this set up would be something only someone would understand if they themselves have been in the situation because I sort of have a grasp of what this looks like thanks to my Google search but I’m still quite a bit confused

Oh wow so this is going to be toby’s first time like taking the lead how exciting but I am worried because like he is infact a 19 year old and Laurie is 37 so the age and physical difference worries me just a bit

“Grown-up relationships are a complete mystery to me. I mean, I don’t know at what point you go from being in love and bonking to not really talking about anything and being mildly annoyed with each other all the time.”

Again with the bad writing this character is 19 surely he can act and speak like it

“But my great-grandmother genuinely used to call black people the word you’re never ever supposed to say if you’re white.”

This sentence is poorly written like the “never ever” makes him sound like a 6 year old whose learning about slurs and racism for the first time like if you are mature enough to be writing gay BDSM your mature enough to use appropriate language when talking about slurs and racism

So yea he’s FULLY licking his toes

Good god so Laurie and Robert were together since 19 to what like 36 that’s 17 years!!! No wonder he’s so like heartbroken it makes sense now

I love this little agreement it’s gonna be so funnnn

Okay yea talking about acne with the guy you just got on your knees infront of is weird and awkward for soooo many reasons
