The burn at The Spanish Princess was everything. Honestly, I kind of wish the author admitted that it was what she was talking about and made a chapter telling us what was accurate and inaccurate in that show 😂
Otherwise, still really liking the way this is written and the way it shifts focus giving us backstories of people and other important events even if I can't always take it in.

So far competently written and I love the consideration Porter puts into things when situating them in their historical context. Although I wanted more in certain places - she seems to be 100% certain that Perkin Warbeck was a pretender and I don't disagree, but I would like to hear actual evidence. She is also surprisingly cold about the execution of Earl of Warwick, who had a developmental disability.

My last book destroyed me and I just didn't feel like reading any of the ones I have started. I thought this might work so we shall see!
Also, I finally watched The Spanish Princess this month, so I am on a bit of a Tudor kick currently and I had access to audio of this hence...
I'm kind of dead inside currently, so can't say that I'm excited about this, but... deep down I am.
