Audible Plus Catalogue. But the narrator is Mary Sarah. 😩 I think she’s doing a decent job at 1.3 times the speed, so that’s promising.

I’m not happy about these inconsistencies. He goes to his father’s house but aren’t they sort of estranged or something? He puts his arm around her waist in front of his parents?? These little things are annoying.

This definitely has more ridiculous plot points than Linden’s later novels. She holds the gun towards him the entire way to London??

Listening to this because it was recently released as an audio book. Mary Sarah is perhaps my least favorite narrators, really dreadful, but the story is much better than I recall. Not perfect, but I can see how I judged harshly.

Chapter 4 reads like the preamble to a rape and I am not sure I can move past that to finish this book.
