Status Updates From The Hands of Orlac

Hands of, Orlac thereof. (Silly…) (I actually hate puns, so I don’t know what came over me.)

Okay, so this is rather low-rated compared to many of the author’s works, and yet this is probably Renard’s most famous book thanks to various films. Also, this is maybe more of a Horror entry, as compared to all that SF stuff from the author I read (some with Horror touches). I have not been unhappy with any books from this guy, and The Blue Peril is a huge favourite. Master of Light also a stand-out.

You can tell this was serialized originally because they re-explain the plot every 20 pages. Rosine should start tattooing plot points on herself Memento-style to keep track of them.

I laughed out loud at the reveal that Orlac's hands were mangled less than 12 hours before his scheduled appointment to get them insured. It's always like that, isn't it?
