The working with a challenging protector meditation was a little harder, as I don’t really know these parts yet I think. But maybe this would be good when I feel intense emotions like anger.

Gutted I only have 6 days left to finish this. It’s such a good concept and I think it will be really helpful to me. Considering buying the workbook.

Just completed the Dilemma Meditation at 2hr 21mins into the audiobook. Found this one particularly good to search inside of myself and see what my “parts” had to say about something I was pondering. Think this seems like a good way to listen to intuition and come to a wise decision.

This section is a transcript from a session the author had with a client, where there was a breakthrough. As a person interested in learning to be a counsellor this was interesting to hear, how the author guides like they would a hypnosis. I’d love to have a session like this with a therapist, but hope that through this book I can do some of the work myself.

As I’m reading more of this, I’m wishing that I owned it rather than having to return to the library in a week. It feels like a book you need to really take your time with and to return to occasionally. The meditations are certainly ones I’d like to have access to.

I find the perspective of leaning away from diagnosis super fascinating. (The book even going as far as to say it’s unscientific) It seems it can lend itself to making therapy and treatment as something more attainable. A diagnosis is expensive and a service unrealistic for such a huge population of people

Just completed the blending meditation, after feeling unsettled and trying to make a healthy choice. This meditation was the next in the book and happened to be great, I reconvened with a few parts I haven’t been able to name previously (when I’ve meditated in the past) and met a new one too. Felt that I learnt about myself a bit. This book/system is great so far.
