Part 4: “Blood in the Snow” review.

The Ronin & his companions are on a risky mission to shut down the power grid, and we see how the last of the Ronin’s former companions kicked the bucket.

This part is pretty action-packed and emotionally driven, it’s got action, stakes, drama and even some nice artwork from the comic artists. This might be the greatest TMNT drama of all time.

Part 3: “Fight or Flight” review

New York is put under Marshall Law, April shows the Ronin a robot, and Casey takes her resistance underground.

More flashbacks and revelations from th writers, even through I’m enjoying it, the book may be a bit too rough around the edges for TMNT fans. Still though, this book is gearing up for the final two issues which will be satisfying… hopefully.

Part 2: First to Fall Review

After a stressful battle, the Ronin recuperates underground with an old friend, and a unexpected offspring. A flashback reveals the death of his adopted father, the demise of one of his team mates, and how the Ronin came to be.

This is more impressive, as the chapter scales back on the action and reveals a bit of backstory, along with a few surprises in store for the Ronin

Part 1: Wish for Death review

A mysterious Ronin, the last of his TMNT kind, tries to infiltrate the base of a tyrannical mastermind.

This story is a very mature story in the TMNT pipeline, filled with an action packed story and viscerally delicate artwork, although the emotional depth is hidden under the action, not showing up until the end. Still though, this is a promising fable for TMNT fans.
