Only just started this one, but it got a load of decent reviews so I'm keen to get into it - when I get more time!

I’m reading this book while the U.S.-Israel-Iran war destroys global demand for oil and LNG and boy is that additional dimension interesting.

What the hell? You don’t need to peddle the U.S. as so-called “defenders of freedom” to critique both China’s authoritarianism and the U.S.’ global-level obstruction of progress.

I have to admit I’ve started to struggle with this one. The writing is dry, but what’s worse is that the “advice” she gives is stuff that’s been said before, eg “And THAT’S why it’s important to tell your rich neighbors that global warming affects them, too!” There’s more than a bit of gung-ho optimism about American democracy that I find nonsensical at this point.

Man, the bipartisan belief that *more* economic growth will save us from global warming. 😔
