Status Updates From No Shelter But the Stars

This might be a DNF. I'm perplexed by the glowing reviews, because so far I'm finding it...kind of boring? I was slightly engaged during the survival bits, but I simply do not care about Davia's backstory because frankly it's all telling and no showing, all politics and no real feeling, and why should I care about the politics of a colonizing empire? The book hasn't given me a reason to.

I adore Kyran’s reaction to this line in Chapter 17: I have no shelter but the stars and no home but where I kneel. Gah these two better make it outta there and together!!

OoOo there was soooo much tension. The fight let off a little steam but not the right kind…Now we are on the precipice of something entirely new

An uneasy truce in a desperate situation. I wonder if this will remain Kyran’s POV (single) or also include Davia’s. Am so curious to know what is going on in Davia’s head after the desperate seeming ritual in Chapter Four

I have been dying to read this book since the summer so let’s see how quickly we can devour it before Sci Fi Day tomorrow (Jan 2)!
