I don't like the weird emphasis on birth and pregnancy in most of these

A lot of these short stories are kinda weird about women and sorta

Emphasize women and womanhood in a way that feels kinda gross

The like mythologization of womanhood that's just a different kind of misogyny

The first bit was so nice

Why have the rest of them sucked

Oh I really don't like this one is the problem

The idea that everyone's menstrual cycle matched in the ancient word and everyone ovulated on the new moon is fully false and a bizarre myth tbh

Yeah that one felt really preachy and I didn't particularly care for it

I don't like this ones as much. It feels preachy

Genuinely just reading the introduction is a breath of fresh air
