Status Updates From سدهارتا – قصيدة هندية

It’s so odd. Both Demian and Siddhartha (so far at least lol) are about beliefs that I’ve held for longer than I can say. Never once have I been able to give said beliefs the words they deserve, and here they are laid out oh so eloquently

"The reason why I do not know anything about myself, the reason why Siddhartha has remained alien and unknown to myself is due to one thing, to one single thing–I was afraid of myself, I was fleeing from myself..." - p. 38

“I have no desire to walk on water,” said Siddhartha. “Let the old samanas satisfy themselves with such skills.”
