I do dislike the trope of situating a woman into the role of a hated witch figure, her taking the blame of all evil things that happen to men, being a scapegoat and commentary on how easily ire will turn on women as a whole....only for it to be true and that she was causing all these horrible things to men. This is a collection of nine stories (as the title might suggest) that takes place in our world but not quite. There is some overlap with mythos, specifically the inclusion of fox spirits. I am only 2 stories in, and I really enjoy the writing style and the weirdness of the subject. The first full story is from the POV of a high quality sex doll purchased by a wealthy business man and his young handler. Awesome.
