I love Lex and Bertram, but the books vibes are maybe too gloomy right after the events of cupidity. Maybe because Emelle as the FMC was so much more vibrant and engaging than Lex, though I understand why Lex is so down. The first half of the book is just kind of draggy, it might be series fatigue too, but the set up is too long imo. Might read again another time but not for now.
