I will never understand why racist kids in middle grade are granted so much clemency. My gosh, what happened to 'this kid sucks, we hate him, I hope a bird poops on him, etc'?

Adam is spending a lot of time ignoring blatant racism and it's getting pretty late in the book for my heart to soften towards him.

This book is about Nadia and how she used to live in Egypt she spend the whole summer there .It her first day of sixth grade she knows almost everyone in her class except for this new kid who just join his name is Jason. Right now they are all sharing fun facts about each other and Jason shared this really fun fact about how he got season tickets to a football game because he won in a game of football.
