Detailed world, but slow pacing.

A fun ride, but a a bit predictable, as I saw the whole “protagonist tries to lie to potential love interest about his plan to sabotage her quest for ancient alien tech in dangerous space territory by teaming up with the AI she created” twist a mile away.

And the way he constantly describes the genetically engineered anime waifu girl is a bit… off putting. It’s kinda voyeuristic

Starts very well. Proper Space Opera. Characters have a lot to say about the world.

I’ve got to the part where revelations are revealed and whatnot, but can the protagonist NOT constantly describe the genetically altered to be perfect real life anime girl in such a creepy manner? It’s giving me the heebie jeebies

I’m REALLY hating Miranda at this point. Her bully tactics remind me of how my old and current bullies operate, and her insistence she’s done nothing wrong angers me at a primeval level.

The narrator is absolutely fantastic. Miranda’s VA also really sells the character. Absolutely wonderful job so far

An excellent space adventure so far with a great cast. It makes me look forward to my the daily commute to work, the gym, or nightly work on projects and studies!
