My heart is breaking for Natalie 😭

Ah, now we're getting somewhere! We have our first victim.

Finally starting to feel less like a slow burn dark romance and getting closer to a twisted horror novel. Still a ways to go though.

I think I see where the author is going with this and I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

So, there's obviously something wrong with Scott's mind, but having witnessed a death (he had no hand in) and committing a completely unrelated crime, I'm still not getting serial killer vibes from him. I could see him assaulting someone in a rage, but premeditated murder, no.

I like the characters and premise, so I'll continue on and see where the author takes them next. Trying to keep the faith.

I'm confused. I feel Scott's internal struggle with his rage could turn murderous, but at nearly 30% through the book I don't see how Nat could remotely become the focus of such. He's got none of the signs often indicative of a focused serial killer and Nat is his rock, his love, and not done him any harm.

I'm interested to see how this goes, but I'm concerned how it's supposed to get there, logically speaking.
