Kris changes his mind more often than I change my pants. Would be nice to read about a character that sets his mind to something and actually follows through

"Her eye twitches again and she crosses her arms."

How does she cross her arms if she's holding a rifle in a low ready position?

"“Another two attacks last night, and one of them fatal."

Is he talking about the girl and the main character? Or was there a third attack that died?
