I have mixed feelings about this book that keep me from giving it 5 stars. While the magic and world building are really interesting, the plot can be a little hard to follow at times, and the exposition isn’t always sufficient.
But where this book really shines is in the descriptions of the feelings the characters face when trying to deal with their trauma, and the excellent portrayal of their healing journey.
