But then I realised that's literally what this is. A history book written in 1984, published only in the US. Later on Kindle and Audible, which is where I found it. So it's completely fair. I do wish Audible had added a subtitle to the already existing title, to add some of this information about what's included. Or perhaps a foreword from year 2020+. There isn't a reason not to.

As a European (who didn't do any research about this book before reading) at I first wanted to give it one star for being INSANELY one-dimensional, especially given the broad title that had no mention of it ONLY being about the slavery of African Americans in the USA / the abolishment of it.

Reading this to check out the suitability for students and so far it’s PAINFULLY 1980s.
