I love the way this book formats its poems. Tall sturdy paragraphs for the Oak tree, a rhythmic call that sounds almost like a nursery rhyme for the Jack Daw and short sentences that end in a question for the Owl. The poems quite literally stem from the nature of the part of nature they are inspired by. Not to mention if you took the first letter of each sentence it spells out the subject of the poem. Loving this

The more I learn and become aware of the deeper mythical view and symbology of foxes, the more I think my childhood obsession and fascination with them was something a lot deeper than I've given it credit for.
