Abrupt start, heavy SA in the first chapter. Pretty jarring but not unmanageable.
Also, this book is an adaption from a graphic novel, and the writing kind of assumes that you already know what the characters look like. I’ve never read the graphic novel, so I had to google. LOL so far so good tho

I feel like this ""character development"" for Maxi is just so rundown
Like there should be more of a reason why??? She acted such a say when riftan had.. yk.. did that stuff in chapter one???
