Taking my time with this one. I only read when I have time to take notes. Inspired to read much more on the Harlem Renaissance. Falling more in love with all the characters. Definitely feel (see) a bit of Ricki in me.

i love how Tia Williams describes the feeling of slowly falling in love with someone. Ricki and Ezra’s comfortability opening up to each other, the gazes they try to avoid, ugh it’s so romantic.

it has lowkey cringe writing at some parts but i rlly like the premise so far so im ok with it
