Taken to Kor [2★] probably my least favorite book of the series so far🥲 don't care for frequent nonsense, which unfortunately was Deena the whole book.

these chapters are so long. I don't particularly care for the portrayal of Deena's mental illness so far. I know she was kept to her home and didn't spend time with the colony people, but it feels infantilizing. very on the fence about her plus-sized body as well.
having Rhork as an mmc, especially as hers, also ehhh. I just might have to wait for the audiobook for this one. for now, I'm just gonna take this slow

if I had a nickel for each book I've read this year whose heroine had their leg broken by an abusive family member, I'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but weird that it happened twice.
