This book would be a lot more interesting if it was more focused on Melanie. Like if the author wanted to write a book about sergeant parks they could have just done that

This book walks the line between “zombie story with a lot of introspective thematic exploration” and “zombie story with cool gritty action” really well. And by that I mean it is doing a great job of staying exactly in the middle and not properly committing to either of those two things.

Is this gonna be a sad book...
