I don’t get how this guy can be redeemed

I got almost half way in a few hours, then the next chapter took me days.

I'm not sure if I ran out of steam or the plot tension did.

(This was highly recommended to me and parts of it are great, but the sex scenes are as purple as the cover would suggest.)

Yet another "honorable" and "disciplined" MMC who somehow just *can't help* but be the complete opposite towards the FMC. 🙄

"I've never forced a woman!" He says unironically, right before raping the heroine.

GOD why does romance have to be so misogynistic. This woman is cool af, yet we're supposed to be into her body betraying to this fucking loser. Oh, but he's so COMMMANDING and POWERFUL. And, as we all know, men can't control their sexual urges and REALLY it's A HUGE COMPLIMENT that he's so into her.

I am so sad! I should love this one - it has so many of my favorite things. Surprise virgin, what's basically a kidnapped heroine, the Tang Dynasty backdrop. But for some reason this one isn't working for me at all and I am bored :(

Not me thinking Li Tao is a more compelling character and then finding him here haha

This book is so extra

This seems safe and sanitary

Holeeeeeeeee sheeeeeeeeeeet

I’m really glad this is a Romance!

I feel like I am missing out on subtext (context? Some kind of text)
