Oh it's giving big Vampire Fanfiction vibes. Perfect trashy pallete cleanser

Pretty far in now and I’m really enjoying this book. It’s a bit vampire and mafia lite and I’m more than fine with that.

I was in the mood for something completely different. I figured a mafia, vampire, scifi romance would do the trick. I don’t read vampire romance and I don’t read mafia romance though I do enjoy a good SciFi romance.

Meh

The last 15% of the book is so cliché. It’s ruining all impression of the story. 🤦🏻‍♀️

And one thing about the intelligence of the MFC: she dates a mafia boss, who just survived an attempt on this life, he wants her to be safe and gives her a tracking bracelet, to be able to protect her at any times. And she slips it off at the first opportunity and is willing to go to someone who blackmailed her. I truly hate such stupid twists in books.

I find the book entertaining. And now at the end I can’t put it down, because I want to know what is the intrigue is about. But! Details make the story plausible and believable. And here we have a space station with high developed technology and stuff, but gangsters tied the prisoner with ropes? In space!

Why? Why is it AWAYS cinnamon? Even in a space romance with a alien vampire as a love interest his scent is cinnamon!!! Dear romance authors, please stop using cinnamon as the description of the scent of a man! It’s annoying to read it in every single book “he smelled like cinnamon”. 🤯
