Status Updates From EWB: Enemies With Benefits

Well this book went from almost a DNF to turning slowly into something I can't put down. Interested to see how their relationship develops

So far I'm fairly enjoying this.... very much waiting for the "I never really hated you" part to happen 🫠🫠🫠 the spice in this definitely starts off hot and heavy from like the BEGINNING.

“What—and I mean this with as much sincerity as possible—the actual fuck? You want me to hate-fuck you?”

I mean this is called enemies with benefits what was I really expecting 😂

enemies to lovers is one of my least favorite trope.. and this one is hard to read.. marshall has a valid reason to hate valentine and his family.. but valentine does not.. and he spent the first few chapter poking on marshall.
there's power imbalance in play here because valentine's family owns the company where marshall works.. so this felt more like abuse than simple "boy pulling pigtails" scenario.
