Status Updates From The Art of Catching Feelings

I’ve gotta stop reading books in one night. It’s not good for my sleep cycle. But…this was a one night book - slow burn plus hidden identity trope. It was good and a nice change of pace from the books I have been reading because OMG character plot and development yay! My only gripes were the believability of her getting a job there and the side characters but the author did address that so it got better!

The romance between the main characters is good but it always sucks when the surrounding characters suck or are too mean to the main character(s) for no reason. Like her brother and sister-in-law are just bleh and too serious and the dude’s dad is drier than sandpaper - just such mid characters.

This book is giving very big “You’ve Got Mail” vibes and I’m loving it.

I decided to take a break from my Briar book frenzy and try this one out and it’s very funny because the first page is giving “Fever Pitch” when Drew Barrymore is trying to work at a baseball game and gets hit in the head by a baseball. (Def recommend watching that movie though - Jimmy Fallon has his acting debut and it’s bad lmao).
