i think besides the initial excitement margaret had for the future, i’d preferred to have read about lady ashworths story

everything else was shit

margaret’s enthusiasm for this adventure is nice

the religious and classist sentiments are repetitive and annoying though

same with the stories and recaps about the first book

and now grandmama lady ashworth just got a brief flashback with her tallit adventure

tbh this story is boring af

the plot about the bad guys after him is not interesting

i also hope clarissa doesnt show up

Um...having some difficulty with this. The State of Israel didn't exist during the Regency period. The time travelers wouldn't have referred to it as such, nor would they have called the tallit an Israeli prayer shawl. Possibly Israelite, but not Israeli. Not too keen on the Messianic Jew trope, but that is just a personal preference.
