Sister Clarke told us about the hormones that flood a woman’s body after she gives birth, making her ‘soft’. ‘Just part of evolution,’ she sniped. ‘The mother thinks she’s falling in love with the child, when really she’s just experiencing hormones, designed to stop her from strangling the little parasite. Without such hormones, mankind wouldn’t last a single generation, I can assure you.’

Ok loving the vibes of this book. And it’s been easy to get sucked into the characters stories. Stayed up past my bedtime reading last night and been thinking about it all day today.

PART ONE WAS COMPLETE UTTER CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE THAT HAD ME HOLDING MY BREATH WITH EACH PARAGRAPH AND TEARS STREAMING DOWN MY FACE DURING THOSE CHAPTERS
