Chapter from pgs 47-55 hit home speaking on the mental weight of both a cancer diagnosis and suicidal ideation. Didn’t expect this from a horror book

The premise is brilliant and I really tried hard to jump in with both feet but the language style pulled me out of the story. The language is messy, in that jargon heavy, floral kind of way - I had to reread parts because it felt unnecessarily complicated. In places that awkward lyrical style works, but I struggled too much to love it unfortunately.

I’ll attempt a reread but at first look, not a favourite.
