This novella is turning into theee longest audiobook because I have only been able to listen in short increments. 😵‍💫 Listening and waiting (and waiting…!) for my sleep med to kick in.

OK, initially thought there was more of a mystery element, & Randal was attacked, hence his being supine when found. But if he was prone to dizzy spells, how could he safely carry Diana around so much, & not be concerned about passing out and harming her?

OK, so why the hell doesn't Randal just throw the two rude, uninvited visitors, who are not even acquainted with him out. If one of their horses came up lame, he could still loan them a pony cart and remove them to a nearby inn. Besides, what does he care about being known as hospitable or not, especially to two horrible people who think nothing of invading his home, & making his guests uncomfortable. Assholes.

A few editing issues, such as "counter plane", rather than counterpane, "discrete" rather than discreet, "alluding" rather than eluding. Like the siblings relationships, and wonder why Randal ran from home. Is he a cuckoo in the nest?
