There are some interesting ideas in here. "What if Bluebeard was a woman and also mommy" definitely has legs. If you've seen the film, this adds an expansion on what happened to Miriam's former lovers and some extra details on the role of Alice. Alice and Sarah Roberts are somewhat of narrative foils in the novel's overall scheme, but I almost prefer the adaptation that allows their presence to be self explanatory

Already had 1 SA scene and there’s the threat of another. The writing isn’t good. DNF

Not sure I can finish this one…and I was foolish enough to buy more books by this author!

Originally I thought this was a female author. However, the sex scenes and language and age of some characters led me to check and it’s a male.

So his first act as he becomes mortal is THAT? And then beard stubble?
